Liverpool FC defender Jeremie Frimpong is set to miss about six weeks of action after suffering a hamstring injury during the 5-1 win against Eintracht Frankfurt. This means he is unlikely to feature in any game until mid-December.

It’s the second injury he’s suffered this season, having also missed two games earlier in the campaign after limping off against Bournemouth in August. That also coincided with an injury to fellow right-back Conor Bradley, which meant lots of Dominik Szoboszlai at right-back.

It’s certainly been a weird stop-start to life at Liverpool for Jérémie, who was previously a player with a relatively injury-free history, except for an ACL injury aside. In Frimpong’s absence, Liverpool may turn to Joe Gomez, Dominik Szoboszlai, or even Calvin Ramsay to fill the gap at right-back. His absence comes at a particularly challenging time for Liverpool, who are set to face a run of six games in 17 days after the next international break, including meetings with Nottingham Forest, PSV Eindhoven, West Ham United, Sunderland, Leeds United, and Inter Milan.
