Nigeria’s Tima Godbless on Saturday qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics in the women’s 100m event.
Gobless powered to a new personal best of 11.03s at the NCAA East Regionals, in Lexington, United States.
She finished second behind McKenzie Long of the USA who won in 10.92s.
Aside from securing her spot at the Olympics, Godbless also picked a ticket to the NCAA Championships.
She progressed to the NCAA Championship after storming to a massive personal best of 22.63s in the 200m quarterfinal.
Also, Rosemary Chukwuma will be at this year’s summer Olympic games after running a personal best of 10.88s to win her 100m quarterfinal at the NCAA East Regionals.

She is now the second fastest Nigerian woman in history, only behind Blessing Okagbare!
She shaved 0.11s off her personal set in 2022, beating Ariane Linton (US) who was second in 11.07s (PB), and Jassani Carter (US) in 11.09s.
